- Mobile
- Find a quiet place and enable airplane mode on your phone
- If using an iPhone, open the “Voice Memos” app. If using an Android, open the “Voice Recorder” app
- Press the circle to begin recording your message
- Hold the phone up to your ear like you would for a phone call
- Press the red button to pause your recording
- To finish, press “Done/Finished” and name your voice recording
- Press the share icon to export the audio file
- Save the audio file and upload it to the submissions page
- Desktop
- Open the “QuickTime” application
- Click File, then press “New Audio Recording”
- Allow QuickTime to use your computer’s built-in microphone
- Press the red circle to begin recording your message
- Press the gray square to stop recording
- Click “File,” press “Save” then upload the file to the submissions page
- Additional options
- Mac: Record with the Voice Memo application. Once the recording is complete, drag and drop the voice memo to save as an audio file
- Windows: Record with the Voice Recorder application
- Record on your browser
