Coming from Sweden, I have always admired New York’s energy; it is a city that bursts with creativity and ambition and is home to many of my favorite architects and designers. Soho in particular has such a wealth of culture on every block – I remember being amazed that in one afternoon you can walk from the Donald Judd House to the Patrick Parrish Gallery and The New Museum. We chose Soho for Hem’s second permanent home in the US to be a part of the thriving cultural scene in, what is to me, the most visually striking neighborhood in New York. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that the Studio opened next door to my favorite boutique: Henrik Vibskov.
