An Exploration of Urban Archaeology

May 16, 7:00 am - May 23, 4:00 pm

Come explore the rich history and get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at one of the premier luxury interior manufacturers dating back nearly 50 years!

Beginning as one of the pioneers of salvage in the art center of the world through out the 70’s and 80’s, Urban Archaeology crossed paths with some of the biggest stars of the time. Today, Urban works with some of the top designers in the world to furnish spaces with masterful, hand-crafted products ranging from interior and exterior lighting to marble bathtubs and washstands. In this exclusive showing, stop by and see the inner workings of Urban Archaeology. Learn about the process, from conceptualization to production, of customizing products to fit individual needs. Hear amazing stories from our founder Gil Shapiro about how he started the business, working with stars such as Meryl Streep, the unique craft of Urban, and get a chance to see some of our craftsmen at work!

We will be accepting visitors May 16th-17th, and May 20th-23rd, 7:00AM-4:00pm. If you are interested in attending, please fill out our registration form, or if you have any questions, please email our event coordinator at [email protected] to let us know! Registration form here

We are easily accessible by the 7 train, located just 1 block over for 33rd Rawson Street Station.
