RSVP

We invite you to an enlightening evening in partnership with NeueHouse Madison Square, located in the iconic Flatiron District, where creatives, innovators, and thought leaders work, socialize, and connect. This night will feature engaging discussions that explore the intersection of design and psychology with visionary minds from various disciplines.

“Design and the Mind: Making Better Tomorrow Irresistible” will showcase how psychological insights can be designed into innovative solutions to impact human behavior and societal trends and inspire sustainable and equitable futures.

Our moderator for the night, Stuart Constantine, a co-founder and managing partner at Core77, our beloved magazine about industrial design, brings over two decades of experience in industrial design, product development, and digital publishing. He will guide the discussion among our panelists:

Pat Marsh, Principal Designer at argodesign, is known for being one of the leading designers behind the humanoid robot Apollo, which CNN has dubbed ‘the iPhone of humanoid robots’. Pat’s innovative contributions have impacted the consumer electronics, automotive, aviation, waste management, higher education / ed-tech, healthcare, financial, and telecommunications industries.
Jaime Moreno, the founder and CEO of Mormedi, has expertise in various industries, including the automotive and telecommunications sectors, and is known for challenging conventional vehicle design. Mormedi has recently revealed an autonomous shuttle concept that shapeshifts between taxi, limousine, truck or last-mile delivery droid as needed. Mormedi’s products have won numerous prestigious awards, including the Good Design Award, Red Dot Design Award, and iF Design Award.
Jen Ashman, Head Of Envisioning at Other Tomorrows, interconnects people and products, patterns and environments, the digital and physical, to create meaning and impact through story-based futurism. She translates the functional and emotional “whys” behind people’s behaviors into vivid expressions of the future through experience.
Jennifer Weng, Design Director and Head of Ventures for North America at frog, is known for her expertise in building and launching products and businesses that create impactful human-centered experiences. Her design philosophy is centered on deeply understanding the needs and pain points of her target audience, allowing her to craft solutions that not only solve problems but also delight and inspire.

Following the panel, attendees will have the opportunity to engage directly with the speakers during a Q&A session, which will provide a platform to explore ideas further and share perspectives.

After a passionate discussion about design’s transformative power, we will conclude the evening with a mingling session, during which guests will be able to connect and network with New York City’s community of industrial designers and creatives.

Whether you are a professional in the design industry, a design or psychology student, or simply someone interested in how these fields can collaboratively forge a better tomorrow, this event promises to be an inspiring experience that will expand your understanding and possibly change the way you perceive the world around you.

Don’t miss this chance to participate in a conversation about making the future irresistible through the power of design!
