NYCxDESIGN is guided by core values of community, creativity, inclusivity, diversity, and sustainable design for the greater good. Beyond our annual Festival, our year-round programming provides a platform for NYC’s diverse design talent, from students and emerging designers to seasoned professionals. Each program fosters connection, education, and inspiration, empowering the next generation to use design as a powerful tool for positive impact and addressing the world’s most pressing needs.
The Mercer Street Block Party celebrates design in Soho. Taking place on May 17th from 6-9pm, showrooms across the neighborhood will open their doors to the community to showcase new projects, products and special installations. Participating brands include BDDW, Calico Wallpaper, Hem, Henrybuilt, Kasthall, Orior, Roll & Hill and Stellar Works.
Spearheading the event, Orior will host an open house cocktail at their Mercer Street showroom. On view will be some of the brand’s Spring launches including the Eli Chair, Walker Desk and Umber Table alongside iconic Orior pieces.
