Architecture as Applied Utopias: From Planetary to Personal Systems

The New York Tech School of Architecture and Design (SOAD) and the renowned Architecture firm BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group) are partnering in the endowed Tommaso and Franca Chieco Dean’s Atelier Studio with an experimental student-led Thesis research project. The work showcased explores possible new territories across scales and disciplines while merging academia and the profession of Architecture. Renewed proactive utopias generate integrated space that fosters sustainable processes of environmental and cultural transformations.
