On Tuesday, May 19, the New York Design Center at 200 Lex celebrates NYCxDesign with a vibrant Day of Design, inviting designers, editors, and industry tastemakers to explore an immersive world of creativity, craftsmanship, and connection.
As part of 200 Lex’s 100th anniversary, this year’s event honors a century of design excellence while looking boldly toward the future. The building transforms into a dynamic, multi-floor showcase, where every level offers something new to discover.
Guests will experience showroom activations, designer talks, and exclusive previews that bring New York’s design community together for a day of inspiration and exploration. Participating showrooms present an exciting mix of new openings, collections, and product debuts. Highlights include Astek debuting its latest collection alongside immersive color readings; Maya Romanoff celebrating its new showroom with the Palazzo Plaster wallcovering collection; and Benjamin Moore hosting a color-filled open house featuring seasonal palettes.
Peter Dunham Home & Garden will host an intimate coffee talk and preview its newest offerings, while Crosby Street Studios introduces both new collections and its newly expanded showroom. Programming continues with Dennis Miller’s Lunch and Learn, exploring the practical questions designers face when layering art into their projects. Arteriors will debut its new showroom alongside the Barbara Dixon Collection, and Cliff Young Ltd. will present its latest dining chair designs.
A standout moment of the day, “The London Passport,” invites guests on a curated grand tour across multiple showrooms, including Fromental x Collier Webb in partnership with R Hughes, de Le Cuona, The Rug Company, Edelweiss Pianos in The Gallery at 200 Lex, Jennifer Manners, House of Hackney, Element7, Christopher Farr Cloth, Savoir Beds, Vaughan, Julian Chichester, Tom Faulkner, Corston Architectural Detail, and Pooky Lighting.
The excitement continues throughout the building, with Pindler, Kravet Workspace, Lexington Home Brands, Fermob, Konekt, Wexler Gallery, and more presenting curated installations and new product debuts. Visitors can also explore the latest additions to 200 Lex, including Maya Romanoff and Sage AV, further expanding the design center’s portfolio of world-class resources.
