AI is not replacing designers—it is removing their biggest constraint: execution. In this session, Wei Kang presents the Actor–Force–Context (AFC) framework and AI-native workflows to help designers move beyond interfaces, build real products, and generate measurable business impact.
Many designers today are asking the same question: Will AI replace us? The real shift is not replacement—it’s expectation. AI is removing one of the biggest limitations designers have always faced: execution. The ability to turn ideas into real, working products is no longer out of reach. Yet most designers are still working in the old paradigm—focused on wireframes, user flows, and handoff. As a result, they are optimizing interfaces instead of outcomes.
In this talk, Wei Kang, AI Team Lead at Menusifu, introduces the Actor–Force–Context (AFC) framework, an original approach to understanding products as dynamic systems rather than static screens. By identifying who the key actors are, what forces drive their behavior, and the context in which interactions happen, designers can uncover the real problems worth solving. The framework is informed by hands-on experience building AI-driven products, where understanding complex interactions between users, systems, and business goals is critical.
Building on this foundation, the session explores how AI enables a new workflow—from idea to prototype to real-world testing. With AI as an execution layer, designers can rapidly build and iterate on solutions, moving beyond speculation into tangible products. Wei will also cover how to structure ideas so AI can effectively support the design process, including defining roles, constraints, and context to turn intent into working systems.
Through practical methods and real-world case studies, this session demonstrates how designers can evolve from creating deliverables to shaping outcomes. The future of design is not just about what we make—it’s about what we make happen.
