In conjunction with NYCxDesign, AREA New York presents “Japan Art & Furniture,” an exhibition of curated everyday objects and original furniture inspired by the Japanese aesthetic of wabi-sabi. The presentation includes handcrafted ceramics, cabinetry rooted in traditional Japanese woodworking, and select design pieces. Set in our Midtown Manhattan showroom, the space embodies our philosophy of “Material, Craftsmanship, and Design,” where wabi-sabi is expressed through spatial design.
