Swedish legacy brand Kosta Boda partners with UrbanGlass for a special presentation spotlighting the next generation of leading glass designers.

This showcase brings together bold new works by Ellen Ehk Åkesson, Lena Bergström, Hanna Hansdotter, and Åsa Jungnelius, each pushing the boundaries of traditional glassmaking through contemporary form, narrative, and experimentation.

Rooted in Kosta Boda’s centuries-long history of craftsmanship, this showcase highlights how emerging voices are redefining the material—merging heritage techniques with forward-looking ideas that engage design, art, and culture today.

Ellen Ehk Åkesson takes her roots in the soils of Småland to defiant dimensions by emphasizing contrasts and exuberant imagination.

Lena Bergström's inspiration comes from her deep interests in fashion, architecture and our contemporary time, as well as a love of the traditions, craftsmanship and the nature of Norrland.

Hannah Hansdotter's work is often characterized as punk baroque inspired by architecture and ornamentation.

Åsa Jungnelius art spans a wide spectrum, covering issues such as aesthetic hierarchies, fashion, shopping, decadence and construction of gender.

Join us to celebrate innovation in glass, transatlantic collaboration, and the evolving legacy of one of Sweden’s most iconic brands.

Reception to be held May 13th from 6-8 PM.
