Living with Art, Color and Joy: The Life and Work of Guy de Rougemont (1935-2021)

Author, art historian, author, editor and writer Gay Gassmann will present and discuss the work of French artist Guy de Rougemont (1935-2021) in conversation with Sophie de Rougemont and French gallerist Paul Bourdet of Galerie Ketabi Bourdet.

Author, art historian, editor and writer Gay Gassmann will present the life and art of French artist and Academician Guy de Rougemont. From her initial meeting with the artist in his home in the South of France, which was published in Architectural Digest, to the completion of this first monograph on the artist, Gassmann traces the life and work of this extraordinary, multi-disciplinary artist and his ongoing devotion to color, form and living with art. In conversation with Sophie de Rougemont and the young, French gallerist, Paul Bourdet of Galerie Ketabi Bourdet, together they will bring the joyful and colorful world of Guy de Rougemont to life and share their enthusiasm and support of Rougemont in today’s world.
