Modern & Art Tea Ceremony

Tea Ceremony to Promote the Release of a New Book by Contemporary Tea Master Soryo Matsumura

Soryo Matsumura, a contemporary tea master active both in Japan and abroad, has published a new book through Tuttle Publishing that explores the nature of the tea ceremony in the modern era. The book presents a contemporary interpretation of the traditional Japanese tea ceremony, grounded in its timeless spirit. To celebrate the book’s release, we will be hosting a tea gathering. From traditional tea utensils to works by contemporary artists, this event will showcase the “contemporary tea ceremony”—a practice that continues to evolve across eras and cultures.
