Seaport Satellite — Parsons x Impact

Seaport Satellite is a five-day interdisciplinary exhibition and public programming series presented by Parsons x Impact at the South Street Seaport during NYCxDesign Week. Transforming a 2,200 sq ft double-height storefront at 8 Fulton Street into a living, evolving pavilion, the exhibition showcases student work across lighting, objects, furniture, graphics, textiles, digital media, sound, and performance — with the space and its programming shifting each day of the week.
Parsons x Impact is Parsons School of Design's student-led exhibition platform — conceived, built, and installed by an interdisciplinary team of students each edition. Most recently, the platform presented Salone Satellite during Milan Design Week, placing Parsons students on one of the most prestigious stages for emerging designers in the world. Seaport Satellite brings that energy home, reimagined for New York and expanded to represent the full breadth of creative work happening across Parsons.
Situated steps from SHINE and Afternoon Light — two of NYCxDesign's flagship events — the pavilion serves as a daily destination for design professionals, students, and the public alike. Visitors can expect something new each day: student installations evolve, workshops open to walk-ins, performances activate the space at night, and the boundary between exhibition and experience continues to blur.

Curated exhibitions of student work in lighting, objects, furniture, textiles, graphics, fine arts, and digital media
Hands-on making workshops open to the public
Film screenings and dusk projections
Sound installations and soundscape experiences
Live music and performances
