A reception celebrating Vignelli Impact 3.0, an exhibition developed by the Vignelli Center Student Club for the 2026 NYCxDesign Festival. Explore the exhibition on view until August 28, 2026 and hosted within Saint Peter’s Church, described as their “most important project” by the design duo. This event is co-produced by Saint Peter's Church and The Arts and Architecture Conservancy at Saint Peter’s with The Vignelli Center for Design Studies at RIT.
About the exhibition: See the past, present, and future of Lella and Massimo Vignelli’s legacy and their corresponding impact. This exhibition has developed from members of the Vignelli Center Student Club as they explore and extend the Vignelli philosophy through examination and discourse. This exhibition features selected designers whose work has been impacted by the Vignelli’s. Through RIT alumni, current students, and those who worked in their orbits, see how the Vignelli’s philosophy guides and is incorporated into global design culture.
About the venue: Re-visit or visit for the first time Lella and Massimo Vignelli’s masterpiece, Saint Peter’s Church, in Midtown. Long-described by the design duo as their “most important project,” Saint Peter’s is a total design: from interiors to furniture to silver liturgical objects to graphics. Massimo’s design for the church’s impressive organ is among only a handful of architect-designed organs of the modern era.
An immensely public building, this reception offers a rare opportunity to experience the space without the hustle and bustle of the myriad programs held in an environment Massimo hailed as “more than a church.”
