Ross Lovegrove has remained at the for-front in shaping the World around us for almost 5 decades, winning numerous awards and having works in the permanent collections of most of the Worlds Top Museums including MOMA NYC, Guggenheim, Centre Pompidou etc. His work fuses Art, Design, Materials and Technology to create a new iconography that is organic, biomorphic and seen as an extension of natural forces.

His aesthetic is unique and always of the time in which we live, often predicting the evolution of design from the analogue to the digital and now creation inspired by Advanced Digital intelligence. He has designed cocoon like interiors for Japan Airlines First Class Cabin, undertaken research projects for Apple Computers including The Apple Ammonite ; Created the first digital induction recharging camera for Olympus in 1990 ; created concepts for the initial generation of the SONY Walkman, was the CDO for Tag Heuer for 7 years , created the Worlds lightest suitcase in Tri-Axial Carbon for Globetrotter the GT110 and the GO Chair for Bernhardt USA in 2001 which has become an icon of advanced aesthetics , a World first in injected moulded in Magnesium.

For this reason, in 2017 The Centre Pompidou in Paris dedicated 1000 sqm to host an introspective of his worked entitled Convergence, identifying Lovegrove as the designer who has pioneered the transition from the 20th to 21st Centuries, the mechanical to the biological and the analogue to digital across the rich and diverse body of his work. A speaker at two TED Global talks, the first in 2006 called ‘Inspired by Nature’ alongside, Craige Ventor who mapped the human genome, Janine Benyus author of Biomimicry and James Watson co-discoverer of DNA

In his second TED Global talk in Oxford 2013 entitled Lovegrove Genesis he predicted the advent of algorithmic, machine automated design based on data input to bypass human restricted intelligence in favour of the totally optimised convergence of all things considered. Achieving products that were fat free, de-materialised, constructed at a nano level and therefore totally synergistic with planetary resources and a future sustainable industry.

Today his work engages at the intersection of Art, Biology and Physics working with Polaris Dawn Space Flight Data as well as currently with Google Deep Mind USA pioneering how AGI, and new interface prompting can achieve design that has a wonderful new and biologically human-machine expression.

His Artworks have been exhibited at Tadeus Ropac London, Phillips De Pury NYC, Gallerist Istanbul, Barbara Davies Gallery Huston Tx, Cardi Black Box Milan.

Karim Rashid is a visionary and prolific designer, recognized as one of the most influential voices in contemporary design. With over 4,000 designs in production, more than 400 international awards, and projects realized in 47 countries, he continually redefines the role of design in modern life. Karim’s philosophy, known as “sensual minimalism,” emphasizes soft, organic, and fluid forms that merge the immateriality of technology with the permanence of human emotion, creating objects and spaces that are both functional and poetic.

His work spans luxury products for Alessi, Christofle, Veuve Clicquot, Georg Jensen, and Swarovski; democratic products for Umbra, Paul Mitchell, Coway, and 3M; timeless furniture for Bonaldo, BoConcept, Tonelli, and Natuzzi; and lighting for Artemide, Fontana Arte, Kundalini, and Martinelli Luce. Karim has also shaped interiors globally, from hotels for Radisson and Minor, and restaurants to residential and public spaces, including the Università Metro Station in Naples, emphasizing design that is experiential, democratic, and transformative.

Karim’s contributions are represented in 20 permanent collections, including MoMA, Centre Pompidou, and Brooklyn Museum, and he has exhibited major retrospectives in São Paulo, Seoul, Milan, and Ottawa. He is also a frequent keynote speaker at international fairs and design weeks, sharing his vision of design as a cultural tool that inspires and elevates daily life.

Since founding his New York studio in 1992 and later expanding to Shenzhen, Karim has remained committed to influencing every aspect of the physical and virtual world. Across products, interiors, art, and digital experiences, his mission is consistent: to make design a vital, poetic, and inspiring part of everyday life.
