Small table lamp with a glossy jade glaze on a bean-shaped ceramic base. Features two light sources with handcrafted porcelain shades.
Mung beans are a legume commonly found in Asian households. Beyond their role in cuisine, they symbolize hope, vitality, and resilience. The lamp’s base draws inspiration from the form of dried, opened mung bean pods and is finished in a glossy jade green glaze. Jade green carries spiritual associations with prosperity, abundance, and good fortune. Through this piece, I want to express the ideas of growth and “bearing fruit” — a reflection of nature’s quiet generosity and the life it nurtures.
