ACRYLICS debuts Nails Set the Weak Free (NSWF), a multi-sensory installation that positions nail artistry as a vessel for economic freedom, cultural memory, and self-expression.
Merging surreal experiential design with layered storytelling, NSWF reveals the intertwined paths of communities, cultures, and creative legacies. Whether carved by destiny or guided by inherited maps, we uncover shared rituals of care, resilience, and inspiring transformation.
At the heart of the exhibition stands a 9-foot sculptural hand—an assemblage of found objects sourced from Goodwill, transformed into a powerful symbol of collective strength. Each finger is curated to represent one of New York City’s five boroughs, with a local nail salon invited to design the 2-foot stiletto nail that crowns it.
The sculpture will be built by Vision Creative Group, with a portion of exhibition proceeds reinvested into local creative and workforce development programs—continuing the cycle of care, empowerment, and opportunity.
