Villa AM unveils its inaugural sculpture garden installation with Artifacts, an evocative presentation curated by Cola Studios. Set within the villa’s courtyard-like garden in the West Village, the exhibition features works by Ian Love, Cory Mahoney, Mamoun Nakumanu, and others. The sculptures appear as unearthed remnants from a lost world—each piece, rich in materiality and form, suggests an enigmatic past: artifacts whose meaning is obscured, yet undeniably present.
A continuation of Cola Studios’ commitment to craftsmanship and narrative-driven design, Artifacts blurs the boundaries between art, design, and archaeology. The sculptures, like ghostly echoes of another time, invite visitors to explore their own interpretations, engaging with themes of history, memory, and the passage of time.
Situated in a townhouse in the West Village, Villa AM is the physical home of Amanda Pratt’s AM Collective, a platform dedicated to fostering dialogue across art, design, and craftsmanship. The villa acts as both a retreat and a hub—hosting exhibitions and gatherings that unite creatives from around the world.
Artifacts will open with a garden party on the afternoon of Saturday, May 17, in coordination with NYCxDESIGN, bringing together artists, designers, and collectors for a celebration of creativity in dialogue with nature. Guests will experience the works in the golden light of late spring, surrounded by Villa AM’s verdant setting—an ideal backdrop for contemplation, conversation, and connection.
