How Sensory Design Shapes Inclusive Spaces

May 18 – May 18, 3:00 PM – 3:45 PM

Moderated by Pancho Brown, Senior Editor of Metropolis, ‘How Sensory Design Shapes Inclusive Spaces’ will feature panelists Elizabeth Von Lehe, Design Director at HDR (NYC); Carolyn Noble, Turf Collaborator and Design Principal at Ames Design Collective; and Faraz Shah, Brand Director at Turf.

The panel will explore the art of sensory design and how it can transform interactions between people and the built environment. Each design expert will provide insight into how sensory design—and its holistic approach to crafting experiences that engage the senses—affects the way we design spaces.

The discussion will further dive into the benefits of acoustics and the incorporation of color to evoke specific moods and emotional responses, ultimately aiding in the creation of deeper connections between people and their environments.
