Join us for an inspiring exhibition featuring the cutting-edge work of students from Cornell’s Design Tech program, hosted at Cornell Tech on Roosevelt Island. Showcasing an interdisciplinary approach led by architect and designer Jenny Sabin, the exhibition reflects the Department of Design Tech’s unique fusion of design, technology, and emerging fields such as 3D printing, robotics, and computational design.
The exhibition highlights innovative student projects that tackle some of today’s most pressing challenges. From sustainable architecture solutions aimed at reducing carbon emissions to advancements in 3D printing for space exploration, each project reflects the program’s commitment to leveraging design as a tool to address critical societal, environmental, and technological issues.
The Design Tech program fosters collaboration across disciplines—bringing together knowledge from architecture, engineering, human ecology, computing, and the arts. Students work with advanced technologies and explore new ways to engage with the physical, digital, and biological realms. As part of their studies, they also participate in real-world projects, including collaborations with leading tech companies through Cornell Tech’s Product Studio, where they address design challenges posed by industry leaders.
