In his solo exhibition at Uprise Art, Field in the Wind, artist Scott Sueme presents paintings, assemblages, and works on paper that explore artmaking as a form of record-keeping. Using pictographic and geometric glyphs, he captures fleeting moments through intentional observation.
Through collaged compositions and recurring motifs, Sueme invites us to engage in the act of noticing—to find meaning in quiet details, to see the familiar with fresh eyes, and to recognize the interconnectedness of all things.
