Material Matters; Fibre of the Future presents design excellence in fibre innovation, sustainability and wellness in a new collaboration with Rhyme Studio, Vibe by Vision, and Victor Gallery. Curated by Rhyme Studio and hosted by Victor Gallery at 232 East 59th Street in Manhattan beside the D&D Building and in Booth 367 at ICFF, selections from one of the rarest antique carpet & tapestry collections in the world will be presented alongside Rhyme Studio’s new Lanalux Lighting Design Series and Castle Collection of Irish wool carpets. Marking its USA debut, Vibe by Vision will introduce its Art as Acoustic & Irish Heritage Collection alongside Rhyme Studio’s textile upholstery collection created by some of Ireland’s most important weavers. Stunning artistry in Galway Wool fibre art, printed woven wool acoustics and ancient Kilkenny limestone by Michelle Hickey Legge, FinDac, Ian Sheldon and Helen O’Connell will also debut.
Rhyme Studio is an award-winning interiors and design practice based in New York City and Dublin. Committed to sustainable innovation, the studio is reviving an Irish wool industry by transforming responsibly sourced fleece like Galway Wool into customizable, wellness-focused carpets and tapestries. Heirloom quality natural fiber surfacing is crafted in collaboration with historic Irish mills, offering an ethical alternative to the global textile and carpet industry’s unsustainable standards.
