The new Department of Design Tech at Cornell University is a multicollege, transdisciplinary initiative driving innovation, research, and education at the intersection of design and emerging technologies. Focused on the areas most impactful to research, industry, and practice in a rapidly evolving world, Design Tech bridges diverse expertise and fosters collaboration in fields such as design + interactions, design + materials, and design + environments. The department serves as a catalyst for new modes, methods, and applications that are reshaping the future of design practice and scholarship.
