A Celebration of Creativity, Culture, and Design Excellence

The aspire Harlem Design Tour took center stage during the 2024 NYCxDESIGN Festival, held at the historic HomeToHarlem, located at 246 Malcolm X Blvd, New York City. This event provided an unforgettable experience for designers and enthusiasts alike with current artworks by ArtfullWalls Fine Art Gallery curated by Robert Newman III.
Participants immersed themselves in Harlem’s rich cultural tapestry and architectural marvels at their own pace with a self-guided walking tour. They discovered the neighborhood’s vibrant design history and contemporary charm, exploring iconic landmarks and hidden gems highlighted on the comprehensive tour guide map.
The aspire Harlem Design Tour was a journey celebrating the spirit of creativity and cultural expression that defines Harlem. From captivating musical performances to insightful discussions with industry leaders, the event offered a unique opportunity to connect with the essence of Harlem’s design heritage.
Renowned filmmaker, Emmai Alaquiva, founder of Ya Momz House, shared his excitement about capturing the essence of Harlem’s design journey: “My mission as a filmmaker is to crystallize the human spirit through cinematic and purposeful storytelling. We are thrilled to fossilize the core definition of ‘Design’, all for the world to witness.”
