The Adaptive Design Association co-creates assistive aids for people with different abilities—handcrafting personalized furniture, utensils, tools, and equipment with care and creativity. Each piece is made in-house and offered free of charge. Visit their workshop, meet the fabricators, and explore inclusive design interventions that reflect creativity, agency, and lived experience.

Urban Conga: Open Studio
The Urban Conga, an award-winning multidisciplinary design studio led by Ryan Swanson and Maeghann Coleman, AIA, is hosting an open studio. Come visit their Brooklyn studio and learn more about their work and process around utilizing play methodologies to co-design multiscale spatial opportunities within our built environment.
Chilewich Garden Party & Book Signing
Celebrate NYCxDESIGN in full bloom with Chilewich. The design company opens the backyard garden of its NYC store and showroom to toast new tabletop textiles developed in collaboration with award-winning photographer Ngoc Minh Ngo, who will be present to sign copies of her new book: Roses in the Garden (Rizzoli).
