Beyond our annual Festival, our year-round programming provides a platform for NYC’s diverse design talent, from students and emerging designers to seasoned professionals. Each program fosters connection, education, and inspiration, empowering the next generation to use design as a powerful tool for positive impact and addressing the world’s most pressing needs.
On Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn, design is everywhere you look. Take a stroll with us for Atlantic Avenue’s Day of Design on Saturday, May 18th to see our landmarked architecture and step inside our stunning storefronts to meet designers of jewelry, furniture, fragrances, apparel, cocktails, lighting, florals, wallpaper, ceramics, furniture, art, and more.
Stretching through the brick and brownstone neighborhoods of Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill, and Boerum Hill, Atlantic Avenue is the gateway to Downtown Brooklyn and a hub for design. Our commercial corridor is home to a multitude of small, independently-owned, Brooklyn-based design businesses, most of which are women-owned. Visitors to Atlantic Avenue’s Day of Design are in for a treat: there will be special activities inside the shops, meet and greets with the designers, special Day of Design cocktails, and more.
